1) Sometimes when you hit the end-of-level flag, you'll get some fireworks: either one, three or six. To get those, make sure you hit the flag when that digit is showing on the timer. The usual way to get six is to run and jump off the edge of the platform before the tape just as the last digit in the timer changes from '0' to '9'.
